SAP HANA Client – update to latest version

Generally, I’ll update the SAP HANA Client at the same time as I update HANA Database. Sometimes, however, You need to perform the update faster. Below You’ll find short instructions on how to do it in Windows. In Linux, it is similarly done simply.

Hana Client is avaialable here: SUPPORT PACKAGES AND PATCHES -> H and

Extract SAR file:

C:\Temp\sapcar.exe -xvf IMDB_CLIENT20_016_21-80002083.SAR

Before You’ll start – stop SAP instance.

Run hdbsetup.exe as Administrator

Now, start SAP instance and that’s all!
