HANA – Ptime Exception: insufficient privilege: [2950] user is not authorized : occurred while unfolding

In a few words, I will try to outline the situation in which I get the error mentioned in the topic of the article.

• Firstly, technical user was created to access HANA Calculation Views (CV).
• Secondly, CVs are built in specific package and they are using data from other packages.
• Thirdly, user can access one CV, which built as a projection from database table and is joined with two CVs generated by BW (master data).

Error is occuring when user tries to access CV which is built on top others CV from other package. Following error message is displayed:

Solution

You should check the following KBA:
2433916 – Ptime Exception: insufficient privilege: [2950] user is not authorized : occurred while unfolding

If you want to grant users with full data access to all information views in your SAP HANA system, then assign the analytic privilege _SYS_BI_CP_ALL to the users. 
If you want to grant only restricted data access to information views, then create an analytic privilege with filters by including these information views as secured models, and assign this analytic privilege to the user role.
