SAP PO – Traffic control violation

Sometimes during work, You can face performance issues in NWA and eventually end up with “Traffic Control violation” error like on the below screen…

In trace files like dev_icm or dev_webdisp You can find information like:

...Traffic Control Timeout by peer (30):XXX [icxxthr_mt.c 4467]
...Traffic Control: Nettimeout (30) exceeded by peer:XXX [icxxthr_mt.c 4303]

Solution

Add the parameter “icm/traffic_control = NETTIMEOUT=<N>” (where <N> corresponds to time in seconds) to the instance profile.

Remember -> the default for the above parameter is 30 seconds.
