SAP Hana Studio – secure storage is locked

The following error message may appears when You open SAP Hana Studio and in the error log You can find information like: “The modifications made to the secure storage by another program have been overwritten” and: “New keyring password generated” or other similar related to secure storage.

Solution

How to fix:

1. Go to Secure Storage (SAP HANA Studio -> Windows -> Preferences -> General -> Security -> Secure Storage)
2. Uncheck Windows Integration (64bit) flag from Password tab
3. Then click “Unlock”
4. Follow the instruction in popup

If the above doesn’t help, try the steps below:

1. Go to Secure Storage (Windows -> Preferences -> General -> Security -> Secure Storage -> Content)
2. In the ‘Contents’ tab, on the right side below the grid you will see a ‘delete’ button.
3. Once this button is clicked the application will restart.
4. When reopened you will be prompted to create a secure storage password.
