System setting does not allow changes to be made to object NOTE “Note Number”

In transaction SNOTE I was unable to Download SAP Note. I received below error:

Solution

1. Navigate to transaction SE03/SE06 and select “Set System Change Option”.
2. Change the Global Setting to “Modifiable”
3. Find the Software Component/Technical Name mentioned in the note, and change to “Modifiable”
4. Find the Namespace/Name Range mentioned in the Note and change to “Modifiable”. How to find Namespace look at the end this article. In my case it was: /SLOAP
5. Save above change then you can download and apply the SAP Note through transaction SNOTE.
6. After successfully applying Note you can change the System Change Options back to “Not Modifiable” if you wish.
7. Similarly, the setting changes can be allowed in SCC4 with option “Changes to Repository allowed” for the client you log to.

How to find a namespace:
